Subject

Alix, a young Gaul slave, has to face many dangers, but thanks to his courage and daring he manages to escape first the Roman soldiers and then a slave merchant. After many adventures and twists and turns, where chariot races, gladiator fights, and death sentences follow close one after another, he gets back to Gaul and becomes chief of his tribe. But this is not the end of our hero's struggles. Fresh adventures await him and he sets off on the trail of the golden sphinx.
